Even Augustine want to life away from God, but the hand of God still touch him. He ever runaway from God, don't want to trust or believe to God. For nine years he enter to the group that refuse to God (maneceism). But the hand of God take him back.
He didn't want to read the Bible, he think that didn't use to read the Bible. It's stupid and not give more knowledge. But Monica (him mother) be patient to him, and always pray for him. When he was 31th, he full release the emptiness because of far away from God. He went to Ambrosius, the bishop of Milan. He learn so much with him. At the April 24, 387 he was baptism by Ambrosius.
At 388 him mother was pass away. He went back to Africa and sold all the property he had, and give them to donated for the poor. Augustine had been a pastor, and for years later he had been a bishop in Hippo.
That's God reach the heart of Augustine, for he not believing to God, than he devote him life to be bishop for God.
